We all know only too well of the depths of emotions that we have to face following the loss of a precious baby. Thoughts of self harm and suicide are not unusual. We would encourage any one who feels like that to talk through how they feel and they are welcome to do so on here.
However, if a member posts on here that they
INTEND to self harm or take their own life, we have a policy on OurForeverBabies of notifying the police. We do this because we care about you and feel they are better placed to help than we are.
We do wish to distinguish between someone who posts that they do not want to live any more, or can't see a way ahead, and someone who posts that they actually intend on harming themselves or taking their own life.
It is only in the case of someone posting that they plan to imminently take their or own life or self harm that we would contact the police.
