I have the reciept here showing that i posted a parcel on the date with my ss's post code and house number.
I'm gutted my ss has no present.

Unless it is sent recorded or Special delivery, It cant be tracked as such but you can report it missing and post office and they will look into it for you

Im not sure if its 14 or 21 days you have to wait before contacting them. Try the Royal mail website

Kim your receipt will be more than enough to report it lost.

I think you have to allow a couple of weeks before it can be reported missing. They won't be able to track it but it does make it easier for them to search for it.

As long as everyone holds on to their receipts it will be fine. We can get a copy off you to give to your recipient as I think it has to be reported at both ends.

Thanks.

The royal mail website was helpful. They won't consider a parcel lost until after 15 days though.

Just to say - if you do end up having to report a missing parcel - it also helps if you can prove the value of the item.  A coat i bought went missing - the woman who posted it made a claim and received .......... 4 1st class stamps!

You dont need to make a claim at both ends, but the PO will usually send the recipient a form to complete to confirm that theyve not received the parcel.
